Today I came back to the project: Vegas reported an error with the files. I then upgraded all Express files in my latest Project to the new Version from Express 2017. If it isn't, maybe write back and tell us what it is you want.I just installed the latest Version of Hitfilm Express, making shure I checked "Vegas Pro 15 integration". I've saved off this project file and open it every time I'm going to edit a show. I've got a marker at the 2 hour mark and the project is otherwise empty. I've got a template made for them, because they're always two hours long. Now it'll size the timeline to where you've placed that marker. Or you can place a marker (press M on the keyboard). If you want to make it stay at its long size after closing, place a clip right at the end of the timeline. Note: If you save the project and close it, when you open it again, it'll be sized to the length of the clips on the actual timeline. I can then get rid of those extra five clips and the timeline will stay 20 minutes long, even though I've only got ten minutes of clips on there. If I want to make it longer, I can stick the same five clips on it again, to make it 20 minutes. If I place all five clips on that timeline, it'll be ten minutes long. If I add another of these two minute clips after the first one, I've now got four minutes of clips on the timeline, so it'll be four minute long.

It won't let you 'zoom out' any further because the timeline is only two minutes long. If you drag one clip onto the timeline, the total timeline length will be a little over two minutes. Let's imagine you have five clips that are each two minutes. Let's tell you how to zoom out the main timeline even further.īy default, Vegas will size the timeline to the length of the clips you put on it. Zoom out where? On the main timeline? Or the pan/crop window? Or in the effects timelines? There's a lot of places you can zoom in and out.
